At the Pittsburgh Science Workshop, we believe science enrichment should be free, joyful, meaningful, and easily accessible for everyone! Our mission is to empower young people from low-income and under-served communities to grow academically, and expand their confidence, through hands-on science and creative ingenuity. We believe that through experiments, tinkering, and building, children can develop a genuine interest in learning and a positive relationship with the world around them.

Salinas is one of the newest CSW sites, established in May 2021 and ready to serve kids as they emerge from their COVID seclusion. We’re putting non-virtual science construction magnificence in front of Salinas kids using mostly scrap and recycled materials, and with that putting them in charge of their own educations. We’ll also work with neighboring schools and slowly expand our offerings of programs and events.
