Community Science Workshops

CSWs are spaces where neighborhood kids can go to freely explore the world through science and create the projects of their imaginations. Founder, Dan Sudran, sparked the idea in his San Francisco Mission district garage shop in 1991.  Sites in seven cities now follow his model with others preparing to open.

CSWs are committed to providing the space, time, materials, and inspiration for underserved kids to pursue the objectives of their innate curiosity. Families can adventure together with ease and walk away with great little science projects and more understanding of the way the world works.
